Garnock Valley - Active Travel HUB

Working towards a Healthier, Greener future by encouraging and supporting more people to get travelling actively...

Walking!
Running!
Cycling!

On the 1st October 2019 we installed our first two Gabion Basket Seats, these to provide some respite (with a great view over South West Scotland) to weary travellers who have ascended some 300m up the track heading north from Holehouse Farm, Kilbirnie towards the former Pundeavon Reservoir and on some 500m past Standingstone Hill to the new Seats, which are located at the site of a proposed new Community Owned Wind Turbine being developed by Radio City Association...

Here's the link to our Video Drone footage that shows the 3km Track from the former Pundeavon Resrvoir up to the tallest Falls in Ayrshire near the Spout of the River Garnock…  https://onedrive.live.com/?authkey=%21AJ6DlYgwbP1lo34&cid=5FB30C9636239912&id=5FB30C9636239912%2113560&parId=root&action=locate

Care should be taken on this track as it is on a working Farm with livestock (all gates must be closed behind you) and is used by farm vehicles, NOT accessible or suitable for Private Cars beyond the former Pundeavon Reservoir!
